Where the Marc Jacobs bag lineup stands in 2026

Open the US site and what greets you is a spread of named families, not one wall of leather. The navigation lists The Tote Bag, The Snapshot, The Scene, Crossbody Bags, Mini Bags, Shoulder Bags and Totes, 312 styles in all. The ownership changed on 1 September 2026, when WHP Global and G-III Apparel Group took over the brand from LVMH, with Marc Jacobs remaining as Founder and Creative Director. Note one quirk: every price on the site is tagged “SALE PRICE,” including full-price stock, and a bag is only truly reduced when a marc jacobs snapshot “REGULAR PRICE” sits beside it. Prices quoted here are US dollars on marcjacobs.com in the US as of September 2026, they vary by country, and they change without notice. “marc jacob” is a common search, but the label is Marc Jacobs, plural.

The Tote Bag

The line launched in 2019, drawn from archival designs, and as the flagship family it holds 105 styles. For positioning, the brand attributes to Jacobs the framing line “No more Birkins, only Tote Bags”, which says it plainly. A wide rectangle with rounded top handles is the form, with the name in oversized block letters, debossed on leather and closed by a top zip. The Canvas Medium comes in at 13in by 6in by 11in in cotton canvas, with one interior zip pocket and two slip pockets. Watch the straps, because Crossbody, Small and Medium include a removable adjustable webbing strap while the Canvas Large does not. Canvas arrives at about $150, $178, $198 and $228 by size, jacquard at about $325 and $350, and full-grain leather at about $398, $498 and $598. Because it is the cheapest route to a recognizable marc jacobs handbag, students and commuters arrive here first.

The Snapshot

Thirty styles deep, this is the bag most people picture when they hear the name. Shaped after a camera bag, it was conceived in a Parisian studio, the brand says, and debuted on the runway. Small and boxy at 7in by 2in by 4in, it carries tricolor colorblocking and the signature double-J hardware. Saffiano leather, a faille lining, a dual top zipper rather than a flap and a removable webbing strap with a 27in drop are the specification. The core band runs about $325 to $328, taking in the Snapshot DTM and the Colorblock Chain Snapshot, while the Vintage Floral version and Snapshot E/W Shoulder Bag sit near $358. The buyer here is carrying a phone, cards and a lipstick and wants the bag noticed.

The Scene

Counting 70 styles, The Scene is the newest family to win its own place in the navigation. Small, Medium and Large Shoulder Bags, two Buckets, a Convertible Mini, a Chain Mini and a Wallet on Chain add up to a group rather than a shape. Materials cover leather, crinkle leather, suede and denim, the widest spread of any line here. These are not top-handle bags: carry is on the shoulder, or on a slim metal chain for the chain versions. Pricing opens near $198 for the Scene Convertible Mini Bag and $228 for the Scene Wallet on Chain. $298 buys the Scene Small Shoulder Bag and $358 the Scene Small Bucket, with the band topping out near $698 for the Scene Large Shoulder Bag. It works for a buyer who wants something softer and far less logo-forward than the Tote.

The Sack Bag

A slouchy throw-over-your-shoulder silhouette in premium leather is how the brand puts it for The Sack Bag, which debuted on the 2022 runway. It holds no rectangle, slumping against the body instead. In full-grain leather, The Belted Sack Bag is the reference version, with a magnetic closure, an adjustable belted shoulder strap, an internal zip pocket, cotton twill lining and a 12in handle drop. The Micro Crossbody Sack Bag sits at the bottom near $198, then the Small Belted Sack Bag around $298 and a ceiling of $498. Seasonally, bow-detailed denim and nylon show at roughly $258 and $358, alongside leopard nylon and canvas cargo versions near $398. A magnet beats a zip for speed but is less secure, better for people who hate hardware fuss than for crowded transit.

The Dual Bag

The most public origin story here sits with The Dual Bag, which also has the thinnest current shelf presence. The brand says it first drew attention at the 2024 Met Gala after-party, when Dua Lipa paired it with her look, having debuted on the Fall ’23 runway. After the Spring 2025 campaign with Emily Ratajkowski, it came back in Summer 2025 led by Doja Cat. Rather than the main assortment, the MARCDOWN sale section is mainly where it appears as of 29 September 2026. The Large Dual Bag carried a listing near $297 against a regular price of about $495, one of the rare cases where both prices display. If the campaign imagery sold you and you will buy from what remains rather than a full color run, it suits.

The structured totes — Cristina, Dakota, Babe and Pop J Marc

Beyond The Tote Bag, the site holds two more groups: a Totes category of 47 structured styles and a Shoulder Bags category of 80. Rather than the soft canvas carryalls, these are the leather bags that keep their shape. The Cristina Tote comes in near $398, with The Grommet Charm Cristina Tote around $658, filed under Shoulder Bags because it gets carried that way. Nothing in the Totes category is dearer than The Dakota Tote at about $798. Babe stretches across three points, from the Babe Mini Vanity Bag near $178 through the Babe Mini Top Handle at roughly $298 to the Babe City Tote around $598. For a working week, the marc jacobs bags here are the Pop J Marc Work Tote at about $398 and, near $298, a Small Work Tote.

Heaven by Marc Jacobs

Heaven is the youth-facing sub-label, launched in September 2020 and art-directed from the start by Ava Nirui. A gateway into the sprawling and enigmatic omniverse of Marc Jacobs subversion is how the brand puts it. With 153 products in the line, tees run from around $65, and bags land between roughly $150 and $250. Outside the canvas Tote, that is the cheapest way into a marc jacobs bag. A David Rappeneau Shoulder Bag near $175, with the artist name carried on the product itself, is in stock now. Nirui’s departure was reported in January 2026 with no successor named, so Heaven’s creative direction now is not brand-confirmed.

Every line at a glance

The table sets each current family against its shape, its materials and the US price band shown on 29 September 2026. Each band is a range across sizes and fabrications, not one price for one bag. Canvas and Heaven anchor the bottom, while leather and the largest Scene styles sit at the top. The same medium Tote is about $198 in canvas and $498 in leather, which shows that material drives price more than size does. In the Dual Bag row the figure is a markdown, not a standing price. All figures are US dollars on marcjacobs.com, vary by country and currency, and change without notice.

Lines people search for that the US site no longer carries

Constantly searched, four names end in disappointment on the US site. Look for the J Marc shoulder bag or saddle bag and you get jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, ready-to-wear and the Pop J Marc Work Tote instead, since neither is currently sold. The St. Marc is not in the current assortment either, and a search returns only a handful of Canal St apparel items. No duffle bag shows in the results for that term, so The Duffle is likewise absent. Plain cotton canvas with block-letter branding is what the current canvas totes are, which makes a Monogram tote the fourth ghost. All four are archive names rather than current marc jacobs bag lines, so be skeptical of sellers offering them as new stock. With proof of purchase, the one-year manufacturing-defect warranty applies only to items bought from an authorized vendor.
